Liberty Dollar 2

And the award for the “Most Technical” project I’ve ever worked on goes to … Liberty Dollar 2.  LD2 (the shortened name) is an asset-backed cryptocurrency.  If you’re already a little confused by that, then you’re probably feeling how I was when I first spoke with the founders.  For our purposes, however, suffice it to say it was my job to try and relate a technical product and ecosystem to an online audience.  We did this through our language – developing tag lines and slogans to capture simple concepts – as well as through visuals.  There’s large banners to answer the basic questions of “What is this?” and “Why do we need it?”.  There’s even a pretty great FAQ section that answers real questions users and possible investors may have.  Our world is changing because of technology, and LD2 believes that will soon spread to our entire financial system.  If you’d like to know more about the LD2 project, please do visit their website – it’s really an amazing venture.

Technical Breakdown

This website went through multiple versions before we rested on the final solution.  Early on we just had a website design that we moved to an open source CMS called Grav (more on that here).  After evaluating future development needs, we ended up moving to a WordPress solution for ease of control and multiple users needing to update the content easily. Thank you to the team at Liberty Dollar 2 for taking the time to explain the in’s and out’s of your venture!  Also, for being open to open to an “outsiders” language and visuals to describe the technicals to a broader online audience.  Working with such a tech-savvy and knowledgable team could have been stressful (at best) and territorial (at worst).  However, the team was awesome and it was nothing of the sort.  Thanks for the continued relationship to make the best website we can moving forward in the ever changing and fast advancing world of digital currency.
